Rolex Oysterdate Precision Arabic Numerals White Waffle Dial Ref. 6494

For a long time, we’ve been fans of the rare and unique dials that Rolex crafted for their time-only watches in the 1950s and '60s. This manual-wind Oyster Precision is one such gem!

Here, we have a 34mm hand-wound reference 6494, featuring a striking and rare “waffle” dial with unusually applied Arabic numerals, paired with dauphine hour and minute hands and a blued seconds hand.

The date function is a "roulette" version, where even-numbered dates are red and odd-numbered dates are black—we think this adds a fantastic touch to the look!

The case is in excellent condition, with a flat caseback (as this watch is hand-wound, the movement is thinner than its automatic counterparts) and a beautifully smooth, sporty bezel.

The Oyster bracelet, reference 78350, is in equally nice condition, with endlinks marked 557 and a clasp stamped with “H.” The watch has been fully checked by our watchmaker.
