Rolex Submariner Gilt Dial Ref 5513

This is a lovely gilt 5513 with beautiful gilt dial with perfect hour plots and lovely gilt hands. Don’t feel gilty – grab this! These early black dialed 5513s house gilt dials that feature a glossy finish like a black mirror. The text and outer minute markers on these dials are a gold hue – hence the term gilt. The colour is actually the brass dial base showing through, as the dials were printed with the text ‘in relief’.

This 5513 No Date Sub features an all-original gloss gilt dial with yellow-coloured hour makers and correct gilt hands. The case is still strong all round, with good even lugs and crown guards. The insert is later than the watch and has an aftermarket pearl fitted. The solid link Oyster bracelet, reference 93150, is in great condition with a clasp stamped ‘Z 3’ and 580 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
